For 2018 and newer, we bundle the update into the installer. Although we try to hold off on releasing F/X CAD until we can build any updates into the software, it's possible that a bug sneaks under the radar. Starting with 2018, Autodesk discontinued its Service Packs and instead began offering bug fixes within updates. Starting in 2018, Autodesk replaced the Service Packs with updates, available through the Autodesk Desktop App (available with AutoCAD but not F/X CAD). Service Packs can fix everything from slow performance to issues with specific AutoCAD features.

Generally offered a few weeks to a few months after the initial release of each year version of AutoCAD, the Service Pack is a patch that you can download and apply to your installation of AutoCAD 2014 through 2017. Each year's Service Pack(s) provide repairs of the all but inevitable bugs and issues that arise with each new version. Autodesk typically releases one or more Service Packs for each year version of AutoCAD it rolls out.
